To the Hell I've been through...
I'm always coming back home to you

I'm so happy Kevyn. I gave Rebecca a chance..no way. She is so into herself. I Love Cathy. Rebecca's gotta go.

The 6 footer may delete this comment but I hope he doesn't until you see it.

You've created such a bond with your listeners. Your voice/compassion is hard to replace. I doubt it ever could be.

Looking forward to hearing your voice. A welcome change since you've been gone.

I bet 107.1 lost listeners in your absence. Not too crazy about the new line up but in time maybe that will change.

God Bless Girlfriend!

I know the princess is so looking forward to your return.

Oh, Kevyn - I am so glad to hear that you will return on Monday! You are the sunshine of my mornings, and drat! I will be on Star Island in Cass Lake, MN and won't hear you for 1-2 weeks. I will try to catch up when I get back; please leave bread crumbs for me on the blog. Thank you for sharing this very intimate and difficult part of your life with us. Bless you and your loving family.

You're on my calendar, Kevyn. Can't wait to hear your voice again to brighten my morning. My kids (2, 6 and 9) have been asking where you are... we listened every morning on the way to school. Heal my dear, heal.

I too will be late for work...or smuggle a radio in. Welcome back, you have been missed.

Kevyn--ditto what everyone else said---I'm not surprised that you are returning so soon----You have inspired me and touched my life more than you'll ever know---I couldn't be more proud of you---I love you

So happy to hear the news! I was reading a interview with Slug at avclub.com and he said he wants to appeal to the 30 and over female. Done. Ha.

I too am looking forward to a Monday for the first time ever. I have missed you and have thought of you everyday, even when I'm at home watching TV I wonder how you're doing. You may have been raised in Ohio but you ARE Minnesota Radio to me.

Kevyn, I can't wait to hear your sweet voice again...sure miss ya :)

I couldn't believe my eyes - I'm so happy you're going to be back on Monday!!! Yeah for Monday!! Continued healing and happy thoughts!

I think what's impressed me most is the love your step daughter has expressed for you. In this day and age of "blended" families it's rare to see that. It speaks volumes about who you and who your "family" is. God Bless and Monday just can't come soon enough!

Kevyn - so glad you will be back! You have stayed in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm glad that there were lots of people willing to keep your chair warm, but I sure miss your thoughtful/intelligent/humorous/uplifting conversation. And the lady can write! Your blog entries are so eloquent. "See" you Monday!

Ohhhh! I've got tears and chills for you!!!! I'm so glad you're coming back because to me this means you must be feeling up enough to head in to work. I'm so relieved for you and your family! Take it easy and don't push yourself too hard too soon, Kev---we want you back in good health and spirit! : ) Peace to you and to those caring for you each day.

Kevyn...very happy you are doing well enough to return to the studio! I have to say I have loved Rebecca and have to defend her from the nasty comment...she's been upbeat and clearly cares very much about you...she mentions you all the time! Most of the other stand-ins have been just fine, but I'm SO glad you'll join us all on Monday! Godspeed, my friend!

I am so happy to here that you will be back onthe air on Monday! You have been missed! Cathy and Rebecca have been good but they have not been YOU! You and your common sense approach to life are why I listen to FM 107. While I like other shows, I love yours!
Lori and Julia are entertaining to listen to but it is often obvious to me that they live in a different world than I do. I feel like you live in my world - mom, budget minder, at one time a divorced mom/single parent, etc.

You have been in my thoughts constantly and the humanity you have shown in sharing this journey with all of us has moved me to tears so many times.

Looking forward to Monday but have the feeling that I will be crying in the office again!

Take care Kevyn!

Kirsten

I hope you're coming back because you want to and not out of some sense of duty and obligation. We'll wait if you need more time. Take care of you first.

Kevyn I am so glad to hear your coming back. But I agree with some of the other comments, if you feel up to it great, but if you feel you owe it to us, sit back and take it easy a little while longer. Don't push it. Now I just have to try and get my radio to work in the new office building.
Love ya lots!

Welcome home! You have truly been missed as you can see from the other emails. I think it was rude and unfair to comment about Rebecca in a negative way. Rebecca knew going in that she had big shoes to temporary fill and and has done a good job. NO she is not Kevyn there is only ONE!! Pace yourself and take it slow, if you come and go we will all be here waiting for you. Looking forward to Monday. Also your writing has been beautiful and thank you for sharing this very personal part of your life.

Sweet Kevyn-
When you broke the bad news to all of us you told us that you would be back and that you are "a hard swimmer". You sure are girl! I can't believe that you are really ready to come back so soon. It truly shows the power of prayer, faith and determination. I was going to end with "God bless you" but I do believe He has. And now we will all be blessed on Monday as well!

Yea, Can't wait to hear your voice. We have missed you and wish you all the best in a speedy recovery...My sisters and I have been listening to you since you started at FM107. Your wonderful. Lots of prayers for you.

Kevyn-
I must say I'm surprised to hear you will be back so soon, but I am glad. As much as everyone is glad you will be back, make sure you still take care of yourself! Don't rush it if your not ready (can you tell I'm a mom??) :)

Take care and continued prayers to you and your family!

Hooray! I can't believe you will actually be with me at United Hospital on Monday, June 25th for my LONG awaited mammo ... at 10 am! Thank you, girlfriend! Question is ... how can I listen to you while I'm in the waiting/x-ray room? Do they still sell little transistor radios? HELP! Deb (technologically impaired)

I totally disagree with the earlier comment...Rebecca has been delightful, positive, interesting and supportive of YOU! A good substitute. It would be hard to jump in short-term and she's done a great job.

Can't wait for Monday...have a fantastic weekend. You are navigating the river amazingly!

: )

Kevyn: I can't express how excited I am that you'll be back on the air tomorrow morning! I listen to your show on my way HOME from work at 9am, and I have been impatient waiting for your return. I have been thinking of you, reading your blog and sharing your story (irony and all) with others who have not had the wonderful opportunity to hear you yet. Best wishes on your first show back, and take it easy...

Mammograms do find some cancers. My oncologist said it can miss 25% of cancers. Especially in women with dense breast tissue.

Mine was NOT found by the mammogram. They took 12 different shots - we could feel the lump, but it DID not show up on any mammogram.

So don't count soley on the mammogram. Be diligent with your self exams and be sure to get your clinical exam from your health care provider. I was getting my mammograms and it was missed. By the grace of God, it was found early enough and I am 8 years out from treatment.

Get in touch with your breasts. If you don't know how to do exam, be shown. It will save your life. Some lumps are as small as a grain of rice.

I had one doctor who barely hovered her hands above the breast. I questioned her exam in my mind, but didn't say anything. I just went home with the feeling that everything was ok. You hear what you want to hear.

One year later I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Take care - everyone
